HBO Max Rebrands to "Max" and Announces Lineup of New Shows

HBO Max is changing their name. Warner Brothers Discovery announced this week it is rebranding to just Max. The company said they decided on the new name because they're mixing in content from Discovery Plus to the streaming service.

Max is launching a brand-new pricing plan for their current ad free plan and their ad enabled plans, so subscribers will be paying more for the service,. There's the Max Ultimate Ad Free, that's going to be about $20 a month. For your higher subscription fee you will be able to have multiple people watch at one time, the visuals will be of a higher quality, we can expect better quality sound and more offline downloads as well.

The rumors are true! We heard last week that that a Harry Potter TV series is in the works, and it’s been confirmed that that is going forward. The series will be executive produced by author J.K. Rowling. I’ll admit I am a little iffy about this because what they're doing is remaking all seven books as a TV series with an entirely new cast. I don't know how many Harry Potter fans are going to go for that because you're always going to compare this to the films and it's definitely going to be an adjustment but not saying I wouldn't check it out because I absolutely would no word yet on that series is going to premiere on the new Max streaming service if I hear anything I'll let you know.

The streamer is also working on a new Big Bang Theory series, and Colin Farrell will reprise his role as The Penguin in a new series of the same name.

And this I’m most excited about, a TV show based on "The Conjuring" films is in the works. Word is the series will continue the story established in the horror franchise.
