We had to wait a long time for Hocus Pocus 2 to arrive, 29 years to be exact, but it sounds like we’re going to get a Hocus Pocus 3 a lot sooner!
The sequel to the popular Halloween flick that was released on Disney + last year was such a success that the company has given the green light for yet another film in the franchise.
Sean Bailey, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, did an interview with the New York Times and said a third movie starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker is in the works.
Omri Katz, who played Max Dennison in the original film says Disney “can just do whatever they want, and people will be stoked to see (the franchise return) regardless."
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the beloved original film. Let’s hope the next movie is filmed here in Rhode Island like the last one!
