Cher has a new business venture and will soon release a new product. The singer announced the news on Sunday on Instagram that she’s created her own brand of gelato and assured fans, “This is real.”
The Italian style ice cream is called "Cherlato," and she collaborated on it with an ice cream company called Giapo in New Zealand. Giapo makes their ice creams in a gluten-free facility.
The social post included a video featuring her song "Believe" playing while she shows off her Cherlato truck. The brightly colored truck bears pictures of Cher eating gelato.
She wrote, “Yep, this is real… I’m launching my gelato. Watch out LA,” and went on to say there’s “more to come.” Cher said this adventure "started five years ago and now it's finally happening."
We can expect the ice cream to make its debut in Los Angeles, and according to another social media post it will be made with locally sourced ingredients. The Cherlato Instagram says, “We’ve partnered with local farmers and artisans who share our passion for quality and sustainability.”
