No surprise with the success of the Barbie movie, Mattel, maker of the Barbie doll, plans to go all out this holiday season.
On June 1st, Mattel released several new Barbie and Ken dolls and toys based on the Barbie movie. There was even a new three-story Dream House for the plastic couple to call home.
Unfortunately, that initial round of movie-related products has sold out, but fear not, Mattel plans to release even more products just in time for the holiday season. Reportedly, Mattel has secured over 165 partnerships with brands and retailers related to the movie that will be released this fall!
Something tells me that it won't just be kids that want these toys. There are a lot of “kidults” out there still playing with dolls and collecting them. Also, look for Barbie to be a top Halloween costume this year as well.
