If you dragged your guy to see the 'Barbie' movie, you might have to go with him to see 'The Equalizer 3.' Denzel Washington's new movie expected to have a strong opening this Labor Day weekend.
It’ll be pretty nice out around here so I don't know how many people will be headed inside to the movies, but for Denzel Washington, I would.
Equalizer 3 is expected to rake in between 35 and $40 million over the long Labor Day weekend.
Normally Denzel does not do sequels. In fact, he had never filmed a sequel for any of his movies before starring in “The Equalizer,” which is loosely based on the old 1980s TV series that starred Edward Woodward as a retired secret agent.
Denzel returns for one last time as Robert McCall as the character heads to Italy to escape his past as a government assassin.
The film will go up against Sonny's Gran Turismo, which is expected to bring in another 7 to $9 million in its second weekend in theaters.
