This is fun. A revival of the musical 'The Wiz' is coming to Broadway!
Remember that musical from 1978? It starred Diana Ross as Dorothy, Michael Jackson played The Scarecrow, Nipsy Russell was The Tin Man, Lena Horne as Glinda and Richard Pryor was The Wiz.
Well, it's coming back this time featuring Wayne Brady as The Wiz, Deborah Cox as Glinda and Nichelle Lewis as Dorothy.
The show is having previews right now in Baltimore and received five standing ovations on opening night last night!
Broadway previews start March 29, 2024 at the Marquis Theatre, and opening night set for Wednesday, April 17.
