The long-awaited sequel to the 1988 horror comedy “Beetlejuice” is all done. Director Tim Burton announced the news on Instagram that production on "Beetlejuice 2" has wrapped.
Reportedly the movie only had a couple of days left of shooting after the SAG-AFTRA actors strike ended.
Details on the plot for “Beetlejuice 2” have not been announced, however, writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar who penned Tim Burton's hit Netflix series “Wednesday” also wrote this script.
Winona Ryder is back as Lydia Deetz, and her daughter is played by “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega.
According to Deadline, Warner Brothers is looking at a September 6th, 2024 release date.
